After pruning, it’s time for bud break: The bud break period, often referred to as the “awakening of the sleeping beauty,” marks the beginning of a new vintage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does this entail exactly? In early spring, typically between mid-March and early April, the vines emerge from their winter dormancy and begin their vegetative cycle. During this time, the vines grow, develop their foliage, and start to produce grapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
