Château Bertranon 2022
9,50 €
Pale yellow color with brilliant reflections. An exuberant first nose with notes of candied fruit, pineapple, and fruit paste. The second nose is nuanced with a hint of citrus and a mineral touch. The palate is tender and lively, with aromatic notes faithful to the nose, well-balanced. The finish is fruity, long, and persistent with a lingering floral note.

Sustainable viticulture with respect for the vine and the environment.
Planting density: 5,000 vines per hectare. Average vine age: 40 years.
After a winter and spring typical for the region, heavy rainfall in June created challenging conditions for managing fungal diseases such as downy mildew. However, through careful vineyard management, we were able to maintain healthy vines. Summer then brought intense heat and heatwave episodes, yet the vines withstood the extreme weather well. Patience was key during harvest, allowing the climatic influences of the Ciron and the Garonne to take effect and ensure the production of exceptional sweet wines.
The grapes are hand-harvested in successive selections from mid-September to late October, depending on the ripeness of each parcel. After rigorous sorting on a selection table, the grapes are pressed and clarified. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in both vats and barrels, followed by 10 months of barrel aging.
