Château l’Enclos AAA 2016

14,90

“Triple A” is a wine crafted from the oldest vines, specially vinified to preserve its full power and potential. This wine speaks for itself, and each tasting is a new discovery. Best reserved for special moments…

Deep concentrated garnet robe close to black cherry. The nose is expressive, resembling an elixir with notes of black fruits and fruit liqueur, accompanied by hints of licorice and leather. With aeration, it gains woody, smoky notes with an almost mineral dimension, as well as fragrances of cherry “mon cherry.” Lovely concentrated palate with ripe blackberries ready to burst, voluptuous and flavorful with notes of fruit liqueur. As it evolves, the wine becomes sweet, velvety, with an enveloping flesh and a melted tannic structure. The overall impression is rich, with a long finish.

Sustainable farming.

Average yield: 50 hectoliters per hectare. Average vine age: 30 years.

The winter was relatively rainy and cold. Spring started under favorable conditions, but significant rainfall led to a noticeable cooling. By mid-June, the good weather settled in, accompanied by heatwaves in July and August. The months of September and October, relatively dry, provided ideal conditions for the harvest. Autumn followed this trend, with little rainfall and a gradual coolness setting in.

Mechanical harvesting. Separate vinification of grape varieties in temperature-controlled conical stainless steel tanks. Extended maceration (35 days), post-fermentation maceration, lees stirring, malolactic fermentation in tank. Aging for 12 months in French oak barrels, including 50% new barrels.
